C4 Engine Academic Edition

The Academic Edition of the C4 Engine is for faculty at educational institutions who will be using the engine in the classroom for instructional purposes. Individual students who do not have access to the engine through a university course should purchase the Standard Edition.

The following is a list of important facts about the Academic Edition.

The Academic Edition is FREE for university faculty in the United States and Canada.

The full source code for the engine, tools, and demo game is included.

The engine runs under Windows XP/Vista/7 and Mac OS X 10.5/10.6/10.7.

Project files are included for Visual Studio 2008/2010 and Xcode 3.

The engine may be distributed to an unlimited number of students as part of a course.

Students and faculty may not sell products based in any part of the C4 Engine.

To request a university license, please fill out the following form. You must be a verifiable faculty member, and your email address must end in the domain name for your university.
