- New GUI system with full-featured editor. Shared design between ordinary GUI and panel effects.
- Physics improvements.

- New zone and portal architecture. Visibility graph decoupled from transform tree.
- Redesigned portal sound flow system.

- New water surface and underwater rendering capabilities.

- More ambient occlusion features.
- High-dynamic range (HDR) rendering.
